C3206149) Calcite with Aurichalcite - Holbrook Mine, Copper Queen Mine, Queen Hill, Bisbee, Warren District, Mule Mts, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Size: 27.7 x 14.2 x 6.1 cm (large cabinet) Price: $ 2500
A bizarre and neatly shaped stalactic grouping of crystallized calcite measuring 27.7 x 14.2 x 6.1 cm in overall dimensions. The calcite crystals are sparkling, lustrous and colorless. There are inclusions of bluish-green aurichalcite giving a neat overall color to the piece. Not perfect, a few areas with minor cleaving, but considering the size and thin branching nature of this specimen, I think it in great condition damage-wise. Comes on a special-made acrylic display stand for perfect and attractive display. C0007849) Cuprite on Copper - Chino Mine, Santa Rita, Santa Rita District, Grant Co., New Mexico, USA Size: 20.0 x 11.0 x 9.2 cm (large cabinet) Price: $ 1800 - ON HOLD
A superb large cabinet combination specimen for this New Mexico locality! The specimen consists of a spongy crystallized mass of native copper measuring 20.0 x 11.0 x 9.2 cm in size overall. Scattered throughout this are deep red crystals of cuprite to 0.5 cm in size. There is a lot of cuprite present. The specimen sits nicely for dispaly and is complete all around, with minor breccia matrix on the back side. A very fine display quality specimen for the species/locality! F123024) Fluorite on Quartz - Fluorite mine, Ruyuan Co., Shaoguan Prefecture, Guangdong Province, China Size: 17.2 x 13.0 x 5.2 cm (large cabinet) Price: $ 1250 - ON HOLD
This is a gorgeous large display piece showing sparkling translucent green octahedral crystals of fluorite to 6.3 cm in diameter set aesthetically upon a crystalline white quartz matrix. The crystals are completely undamaged with sharp edges; there is no chipping or nicking. The color contrast between the green fluorites and the white quartz matrix is very striking. All fluorite specimens from this mine are etched out of enclosing quartz with hydrofluoric acid. Overall size of the specimen is 17.2 x 13.0 x 5.2 cm. A beautiful cabinet piece! S1020216) Smithsonite - Touissit, Touissit District, Oujda-Angad Province, Oriental Region, Morocco Size: 16.4 x 13.3 x 9.9 cm (large cabinet) Price: $ 3250 ex. Dawn and Jim Minette
A very unique and showy large cabinet smithsonite specimen, especially nice because of the locality. Sparkling lustrous colorless to brown crystals of smithsonite to 0.2 cm in size are inter-grown to form very unusual stalactitic groupings of crystals to 7.5 cm in height. These are coming off a 16.4 x 13.3 x 9.9 cm matrix. There are some of the stalactites that are not complete, broken at the terminations. The large majority of them though are perfect. Shows nicely all around 360 degrees. Neat looking - outstanding and very different for the species! Ex Dawn and Jim Minette collection #S216.
